Have you given up on conventional religion? Do you long for a deeper understanding to the events of your life? Are you spiritual, but not religious?
We believe in self-responsibility and self-transformation, not dogma. The key to your happiness can only be found within.
The Church of the Path is a nondenominational church in Austin, Texas.
Our teachings blend Eastern and Western spirituality, philosophy, and psychology.
We believe the way to finding God is through the practice of self-purification. Self-cleansing involves the search for "the beam in thine own eye" (Matthew 7:3) before blaming others and outer circumstances for what is happening in our life.
We believe you create your own reality.
How have you created the situations in which you find yourself involved?
We must link what is within us with what is outside of us.
The relationship between the perceiver and the perceived defines consciousness according to Chinese thinkers and later to Western thinkers.
The Church of the Path® celebrated its 30th anniversary in December of 2016. The Church was formed in 1986 by Reverend Dr. Albert Gani and a group of like-minded friends in McAllen, Texas.
The founders of this new church wanted more than misinterpreted parables, threats of hell and damnation or the platitudinal teachings of positive thinkers. They hungered for practical self-renewal, true spiritual rebirth, and a setting where they could find their own spirituality.
Reverend Corrin Gani has lead The Church of the Path since 2018. She holds a bachelor of theology and a bachelor of science, as well as being licensed as a certified public accountant.
Corrin has lead hundreds of groups, lectures, and classes in the Austin area. Her writings have been published in Natural Awakenings Magazine, as well as the Austin American Statesman.
For over 40 years, Reverend Dr. Albert Gani helped people find purpose and meaning in their lives, motivating them towards the pursuit of happiness through ethics and faith.
His legacy is found in the over thirty books he wrote, the church he formed and countless lives he touched with his guidance.
"Pleasure, joy, grace, happiness, faith, abundance, infinite knowledge--all is available to those who surrender to 'The Path of Purification' (the title of a well-known work by Buddhaghosa, written in the 5th Century A.D.)."
--Rev. Dr. Albert Gani
